How to Disable a Password in Windows XP

    • 1). Start Windows XP, and log in to the computer using any account that has administrative privileges. The account does not need to be the account named "Administrator".

    • 2). Click the "Start" button and select "Control Panel".

    • 3). Click on "User Accounts".

    • 4). Click on the account whose password you want to disable. You should see the words "Password Protected" near that account's icon.

    • 5). Click the third task on the list, "Remove the password".

    • 6). Click the "Remove Password" button to confirm. You may now log in as the selected user without a password.
