    • 2). Remove severe ringworm scabs with mild soap and water. Keep the affected skin clean to aid in healing.

    • 3). Apply an all-natural topical remedy such as apple cider vinegar or tea tree oil, both of which are reputed to help clear up ringworm. Use a cotton ball to dab the liquids onto the lesions.

    • 4). Apply equal parts of a tincture of iodine and glycerin to the skin. Or dab a 20 percent solution of sodium caprylate, another effective treatment for ringworm.
