How to Glue Crown Molding on Wall Ceiling
- 1). Apply construction adhesive to the back and top edge of the corner sections of crown molding. Press corners in place.
- 2). Hold corners in place by placing painter's tape over the front face. Allow 6-inches of tape to cling to the ceiling and 6-inches to cling to the walls to hold it in place.
- 3). Apply construction adhesive to the top edge and back side of the crown molding, and press it along the ceiling line directly off the corner. Press the end tightly against the corner section.
- 4). Apply a 12-inch section of painter's tape every 24-inches along the length of the crown molding to keep it in place.
- 5). Repeat Steps 1 and 2 with all of the corners in the room.
- 6). Repeat Steps 3 and 4 until the entire perimeter of the room is covered. Allow adhesive to dry for two hours.
- 7). Remove painter's tape carefully from the crown molding.
