How to Get Oil Off a Suede Leather Couch
- 1). Sprinkle cornstarch over the oil. The cornstarch will immediately start absorbing the oil. Sprinkle until the area is completely saturated. Let it sit for an hour.
- 2). Sweep the cornstarch off the couch with the scrub brush. Apply light pressure and don't press the oil residue further into the couch.
- 3). Apply a commercial suede degreaser to a clean cloth and rub the oil spot if it's still visible. Work until the stain is gone.
- 4). Let the suede air dry completely before using the couch.
- 5). Brush the couch with a suede brush to restore the nap.
