People usually experience a sinking feeling of helplessness and depression.

It is very important that the doctor is able to diagnose the attack from day 1 or else the sufferer could bounce around from one doctor to another for years without knowing what happened to him or her and without experiencing any relief.
Indeed, in such cases it becomes more and more frustrating for the sufferer and the problem only worsens.
These attacks can be because of a stressful condition, action of certain drugs or other negative life conditions.
It is very important to recognize the factors that trigger an attack as avoiding such situations are an important part of the copying process.
