Activities like flying in hot air balloon, bridge climbing, diving with whales and riding jet planes are popular among the people. One of such sport activity is Rally driving. Here we are discussing few basic points about this sport.

This sport, which is commonly known as Rallying also, is an advance form of auto racing. The cars used in this race are common cars, which are modified to run fast, or they are specially built for this purpose. Unlike other motor sports, cars do not run on circuit, rather they follow the point to point format. Participants and their co drivers drive the cars between set points. The driver, who will drive the car with more speed, will win the race. The track made for these race are also very special. Usually, mud, water, woods and sand are used on different parts of track, to make it rough and more challenging for the drivers.

There are two basic types of rallying, one is called stage rallies which other is road rallies. Stage rallies are now the professional branch of sports. In this form of Rally driving, roads are closed for normal traffic and drivers drive their cars on maximum speed. As mentioned earlier, specially constructed racing tracks are used. These races are treat to watch and a test of drivers racing skills. Moreover, strength and capabilities of cars are also tested. This type of race has a large number of spectators, as the stages are unpredictable and this factor keeps the interest alive. The other form of rallying, road rallying is the original form of this sport. This is held on normal roads, which are open for casual traffic. In this type of race emphasis is not on the speed, rather accurate timing and navigation abilities are more important. These are long distance races and roads are very difficult to drive on. Usually, amateur drivers take part in such races. Road rallying has many further branches like Monte Carlo Rally and TSD Rally.

If you are interested in rallying you should know the basic driving principles. You have to attend a driving school, which will teach you all the necessary skills and tips. As this driving is much more challenging than ordinary road driving, so you should be aware of all pros and cons before sitting on driving seat. The school management will not only teach you the classroom lessons, but you will be able to do practical driving experience too. Usually, the instructors in such schools are ex-racers, who are aware of all secrets of the sport. After few sessions in school with expert trainers, you will develop confidence and skill to drive on the race track or on road. You can participate in armature races, if you are confident enough. Otherwise learning this kind of driving is a thrilling experience in itself, which you will remember throughout your life.
