So, you have a business and it is not a conglomerate yet.
You may be located in Hartford, Connecticut, Miami Florida, or New York City.
If you think you can't compete with the big boys you are wrong.
They are putting a lot of money into social networking, Face Book, Twitter, and the like.
I don't know about you, but I can only stand so many times my friends giving me advertisements before I be-friend, or take them off my friend list.
What is needed in order to get people to recognize and want to use your business is having your name and information in the right place and at the right time.
You need to do local marketing.
Gone are the days of people looking in the phone book for a mechanic, dentist, and lawyer.
If you think that you can put up a website with you name on it and the calls will just roll in you are fooling yourself.
If some one goes on a search engine, such as, Google or Yahoo, and looks up your name of course they will find you.
Most people do not search that way.
For instance, if I needed a dentist in Sandusky, Ohio, I would not type in a name of the dentist, I would do a search for toothache Sandusky.
These are types of keywords you should be marketing your business for.
You should be focusing your keyword strategy not only for your products and services you provide, but also for your specific local area You should look for a search engine optimization company that specializes in local keyword search.
A local SEO company usually charges a one time fee between $300.
00 to $500.
00 to get you results in the local search engines that will make your phone ring.
