How to Make Playing Card Houses
- 1). Choose a flat surface, such as a table, desk or floor. You also can build a playing card house on carpeting, which gives it a more reliable foundation.
- 2). Form a triangle with two playing cards on the table, with the flat surface forming the bottom side of the triangle. The cards must be able to stand on their own while resting against each other.
- 3). Form another triangle next to the first one, and continue making triangles until you have the size foundation you prefer.
- 4). Place a card on the top of two triangles, parallel to the table. Continue placing cards this way until you have completely constructed the second level floor.
- 5). Repeat the step of building triangles of cards on top of this second floor, using the horizontal cards as the bottom of the triangle.
- 6). Continue constructing triangles and laying cards horizontally across to form the floor support of the next row of triangles. Keep stacking the cards in this manner until the playing card house is at whatever height you want.
- 7). Experiment with different designs. Playing card houses can be square, rectangular, an A-frame, a rectangle with a tower on top and other shapes.
