The main causes of yeast infections in women are a) Intake of antibiotics - when we take antibiotics the natural and healthy bacterial balance in the vagina is disturbed.

b) When your body immunity is low it is not capable of fighting off bacteria and yeast on its own.
Reduced immune system is another common cause of Candida.
c) Vagina douches - when we make use of douches frequently, natural lubricants required for a healthy vagina is washed away.
This again creates a perfect environment for yeast to grow and multiply.
d) Use of perfumed sprays and soaps in the vaginal area.
These products contain chemicals and are capable of disturbing the natural pH balance of the vagina.

e) In case your partner has Candida infection, unless he is completed cured he can pass it on to you.
