How to Configure a PS3 to Connect to Wireless Internet
- 1). Turn the PS3 on. After the XMB bar, the menu that loads when the PS3 is first turned on, appears, scroll to the left to access the "Settings" menu. Select "Network Settings."
- 2). Scroll to "Internet Connection," press the "X" button on the PS3 controller and select "Enabled." Scroll to "Internet Connection Settings" and press the "X" button. When prompted, select "Yes."
- 3). Select "Easy," followed by "Wireless" as your connection type, and then "Scan." Select the name of your wireless network. Press the "right" button on the PS3 directional pad. Select the security type (if any) for your wireless network. Enter the network password (if any) and press the "right" button on the PS3 directional pad.
- 4). Press the "X" button to save the settings. Select "Test Connection." If the test is successful, your PS3 will be connected. If the test is unsuccessful, the reason and most likely solution will be displayed on screen.
