    Remove and Reinstall .NET Framework

    • 1). Click the Start button and then type "Programs" into the search box.

    • 2). Click the option in the list for "Add or Remove Programs."

    • 3). Scroll down and locate the entry for "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5." Right-click the name and select "Uninstall" from the menu. Wait while the program is uninstalled from the system.

    • 4). Download Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 (see Resources). Click the "Download" button and save the file to the desktop. Double-click the "dotNetFx35Setup.exe" file to install the program.

    • 5). Reboot the computer if you are prompted.

    • 6). Download Microsoft .NET Framework Service Pack 1 (see Resources). Click the "Download" button and save the file to the desktop. Double-click the "dotNetFx35Setup.exe" file to install the program.

    • 7). Reboot the computer if you are prompted.

    Use .NET Framework Cleanup Tool

    • 1). Download the .NET Framework Cleanup Tool (see Resources). Click the icon of the zipper and save the file to the desktop.

    • 2). Double-click the "dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip" file to view its contents.

    • 3). Double-click the "cleanup_tool.exe" file to run the program. Click the "Yes" button when the message box appears.

    • 4). Click the drop-down selection box and select ".NET Framework 3.5." Click the "Cleanup Now" button to remove the software from the system.

    • 5). Download and reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3. 5 Service Pack 1.
