Prepare for Assembling

• The Pali Sabrina crib box will include an instruction manual. The front page of the manual has a picture list of parts. Compare the list to the parts included the box. Label each part with masking tape and a marker so you can identify them when you begin assembling the crib. Sort the parts according to the order they are used in the instructions. If all the parts are not in the box, call the customer service number in the manual and explain which part you need. Get the screwdriver and hammer you will need.
  
  

Check the Posts and Caps

• The Sabrina crib includes four plastic caps to insert on the post ends of the mattress support frame. One cap goes on each end. Confusion occurs because the Sabrina crib has two different post designs. The posts that have a rectangle shape require the grooves on the caps to point to the outside of the crib. Round shape posts require the grooves to point to the inside of the crib.
  
  

Tips for Assembly

• Install the plastic casters into the leg inserts by using a small amount of pressure to get them in position completely. Place a small piece of a board in the caster groove. With the tip of the caster at the entrance of the leg hole, tap on the board with a rubber-head hammer. This will seat the caster without damaging the plastic.
  
  For a newborn, you will need to install the mattress support frame in the highest position. Hold the stationary side rail up to the headboard. Position the two bolt holes on the headboard with the two bolt holes on the side rail. Insert bolts in both sets of holes and tighten them with a screwdriver. Repeat the process for the other end. Then, place the pegs of the drop side into the grooves on the front of the crib ends. Pivot the rail and lift it to the top position. Snap the bottom of the rail in place.
  
  

Tips for Care

• The Pali Sabrina crib can be cleaned with a cloth dampened with disinfectant mixed in water. Wipe the crib down with the damp cloth. Rinse with a cloth dampened in clear water. Clean the crib while the infant is in another location so fumes do not irritate her lungs. Check the bed bolts regularly, because they loosen over time.
  
  

Safety Tips

• Pali Sabrina cribs require a mattress that is at least 27 1/4 inches x 51 5/8 inches and no greater than 6 inches thick. Other sizes can leave a gap near the rail and the infant can become stuck in the gap and suffocate.
