- 1). Insert the Vista installation DVD.
- 2). Restart the computer. Press any key when prompted to boot from the DVD.
- 3). Select your keyboard, language and preferred currency. Click "Install Now" and select "Get Important Updates."
- 4). Input your product key, click "Accept" for the license agreement and select the "Custom" button for a custom installation.
- 5). Highlight the drive containing Vista and click "Next" to reinstall. This rebuilds the core files for your Media Center application, repairing the program.
