The LG L343i is the first cellular phone that LG has produced to support i-mode, the latest in mobile internet service technology.
What makes i-mode different from regular internet surfing that one can do on many phones currently on the market is the way the websites are designed.
Instead of being computer-sized sites that are crammed into the small display on the phone, the websites with i-mode technology are specifically designed to be viewed on small phone screens.
Speaking of screens, the LG L343i has two: one internal, one external.
The internal display is a 260,000 color TFT LCD, the external is a 65,000 color OLED display that glows vibrantly when one turns the phone on or off.
The design of the internet aerial of the phone is actually inside the casing, as opposed to projecting outwards.
This helps to make the phone more compact and stylish.
Besides offering mobile internet access, the L343i also features a built in high resolution VGA camera.
Thanks to the zoom feature, the photos can be enhanced up to four times their original size.
Because of the built in flash, dark locations won't hinder proper picture taking.
One of the coolest features of the camera is the hot key button, which enables the user to take pictures without having to actually open the phone.
Simply press a button on the side of the exterior and the photo is snapped.
Once the user is finished taking pictures with the LG L343i, they can be shared via the MMS function that allows text, photo and audio messages to be sent to email addresses and other cellular phones.
Bluetooth technology lets the user use a wireless headset to answer and talk on the phone, completely hands free, all within a 50 meter range of the actual device.
