    • 1). Fold the paper in half and make a crease. Unfold the paper. Fold the top right corner down so that its edges meet the crease in the center of the paper. Fold the top left corner down so that its edges meet the crease in the center of the paper to make a shape that looks like a peaked-roof house. Fold the right side of the house shape in so that its edge meets the center crease. Fold the left side of the house shape in so that its edge meets the center crease. Unfold the sides of the house shape and leave the roof folded.

    • 2). Fold the left house edge over to the new crease you made on the right side of the house (halfway between the right edge and the center crease), make a crease and unfold the left edge. Fold the right house edge over to the new crease you made on the left side of the house shape (halfway between the left edge and the center crease), make a crease and unfold the right edge. There are now five vertical creases in the house shape.

    • 3). Fold the rightmost vertical crease backwards towards the center crease and push the second right crease up in between the first crease and the center crease to create two layers (or an accordion shape) with the paper.

    • 4). Take the right side edge that is now sitting on the outermost left crease and fold it back towards the right side of the house, while pushing the creased edge of the right crease in between the right edge of the paper and the second right crease to make another accordion fold. Do the same with the left side edges and crease to create a steepled house shape.

    • 5). Fold the top steeple roof flaps out towards the side edges of the house to make a flat rectangle on top with a steeple shape sitting underneath it. Fold the rectangle and steeple-shaped paper vertically in half, with the two sides of the rectangle meeting each other.

    • 6). Fold the top rectangle flap to the right and push the paper down so that it folds inward towards the left side of the paper to create a fat upside down "L" shape with a skinny top. The top pointed edge should be facing the right side of the folded paper. Fold the skinny top horizontally in half by moving its bottom edge up to the top edge. Fold the vertical flap that is beneath the skinny top right edge over to the right at an angle to make a small triangle with the paper. Do the same on the left side of the flap. Fold the upper flap of the skinny top down on both sides of the paper to finish making the tail of the cat (which is currently at the top of the paper).

    • 7). Fold the bottom edge of the skinny top flap in half by folding the edge of the paper up and underneath. Do the same with the skinny top flap on the other side of the paper. Turn the fat "L" shape onto its side so that the skinny top is on the left side of the paper with the pointy end facing up.

    • 8). Fold the right edge of the fat end of the "L" shape in, and push the paper in on the crease as you fold it to create a triangle shape at the end of the fat "L." This is the cat's head. There are two flaps on the inside of the triangle shape. Fold the bottom of the flaps halfway up to the top of the triangle and push the paper underneath it down as you do so. At the tips of the flaps you just folded up, pull apart up the open ends and fold them down to make the cat's eyes. Fold the bottom right and left corners of the triangle back and up behind the flaps to create the cat's ears. Fold the tips of the cheeks where they meet the ears back behind the head to finish making the cat's face.

    • 9). Fold the fat part of the "L" shape down under the cat's head to create a downward-angled back, with the tail at the cat's feet. Fold the pointed tip of the cat's head back behind the head to flatten it. Fold the tip of the tail back behind the cat to make the cat look like it is sitting with its tail wrapped around its feet.
