How to Repair Windows XP OS
- 1). Turn on your computer, insert your Windows XP CD and then restart the computer.
- 2). Press the "F12," "DEL," "ESC" or other boot menu key as the computer starts. These keys are typical boot menu keys, but you can find out exactly what your computer's boot menu key is by looking at the computer screen as the computer starts.
- 3). Select "Boot from CD" from the boot menu, press "Enter" and press "Enter" again to continue booting from the CD drive.
- 4). Press "Enter," press "F8" and then select your Windows XP OS installation by using your up and down arrow keys on your computer keyboard.
- 5). Press "R" over your highlighted Windows XP OS to perform the repair operation. This operation is automated and requires no further input from you until it is finished, at which time you can log back in to your computer and resume using it.
