ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY PRESENTS RE/MAX WITH "ENERGY STAR" DESIGNATION
Portland (OR) - The Environmental Protection Agency announced today the presenting of their "Energy Star" Designation to RE/MAX Equity Group.
The RE/MAX International Inc. headquarters building, located in Denver's Tech Center, has been named among the top 4% in the nation in energy efficiency.
The award recognizes the effort to create "earth friendly living" by RE/MAX and the company earned recognition by educating its employees, conserving resources and supporting "green" building practices. With its new "Energy Star" Designation given to its headquarters, RE/MAX plans on spreading the idea of lowering energy consumption to offices throughout the country.
Energy Star is a joint program of the US Environmental Protection Agency and US Department of Energy to help reduce high energy bills, improve home comfort and help protect the environment. Energy Star recognition is given out if the home or company manufactures or supports sustainable and energy efficient appliances, insulation, home electronics, lighting products, and ventilation products. To date, more than 2.5 billion Energy Star labeled products have been sold.
