Anxiety and Procrastination

Does this sound familiar to you? If you are a sufferer from anxiety, you probably also have a problem with putting off things.
You may think: this can be done tomorrow, and then the day after you think the same again.
It is an unfortunate situation but it is also understandable.
You may be afraid of the outcome of what you should do.
What would happen if you made a mistake? What would the others say? What would I think of myself? Just to tell you the truth: everybody make mistakes.
This is human.
In very few cases mistakes really are very bad.
In most cases they can be amended.
As far as the others are concerned: do not worry.
Whatever they may say, your mistake it is none of their business.
The more important thing is what you think of yourself.
Do not make a tragedy out of it.
Who never makes mistakes does not work and does not do anything.
It is better to DO than not to DO.
It is better to do it today and not to postpone it to the next day and so on.
If you do your job, if you carry out your tasks, you are satisfied.
Satisfaction is a motivator.
It helps you overcome low self esteem and anxiety.
Once you have done your job, you see that you are able to do it.
You do not have to procrastinate, to think that it can be done tomorrow, or the day after.
When you do a job when it is due, you get motivated and you get satisfaction.
The more you are able to do your job in time, the better it is for your self esteem.
If you can build up your self esteem working and doing what you have to do, your anxiety can not only diminish but it can completely vanish.
I think it is worth a try..
The more you develop the habit of doing your job when it should be done, the better it is for your self esteem and for lowering your anxiety.
In fact, very often, anxiety is connected with the work you have to do..
I do not say that anxiety is always connected with work, but what I can say is that anxiety often causes procrastination.
It is like a vicious circle.
The good news is that you can interrupt it.
Create your habit of doing in time whatever your job is and within a short time you will even like your work.
It will no longer be a burden which you would rather avoid.
Both anxiety and procrastination can be overcome.
It takes some effort but it is worth it.
