Aquacultured Live Rocks and Your Saltwater Aquarium

Gathering aquacultured "live rocks" from their natural oceanic environment was made illegal in the U.
S.
in 1997.
They did this because takingnatural rock and coral can easily have a destructive consequence upon the marine habitat.
Extraordinary harm can happen to the flora and fauna that are living in these natural environments, but also can harm the quality of the saltwater environment itself.
Don't worry, to recreate the wonder of the natural environment in your own saltwater aquarium, large sections of sea floor were rented by state governments and quarried rocks were positioned on the sea floor.
After a certain period of time all sorts of different species of marine plants and animals began to call this reproduced habitat home.
Once a number of species have moved in these quarried rocks the rocks are scoured for the life that they now contain.
As these new rocks age, these "live rocks" and many different fishes, corals, sponges, and other sea life find their way to these new homes.
After they are harvested they can be transported to a local store.
The next step for Aquacultured live rocks is called curing.
When this happens waste is removed by placing the rocks in different pools of natural sea water.
This ultimately protects the life of the rocks and the life in the saltwater aquarium.
This is a great form of protection for your aquarium.
As mentioned before this can help bring about a much needed understanding for the defense of our marine habitats so that we can take pleasure in their beauty for the decades to come.
Merging aquacultured live rocks to your own aquarium makes your saltwater aquarium ever closer to mirroring the loveliness we view in our sea ecosystem.
The attractiveness of aquacultured "live rocks" is that transplanting these types of rocks has zero damaging affects on your tank or the rocks biological atmosphere.
In truth, it can benefit your fish tank and bring about awareness for shelter of our natural marine ecosystems.
