How to Thaw a Pork Tenderloin
- 1). Remove your wrapped pork tenderloin from the freezer and place it on a plate, dish or platter large enough that the pork tenderloin completely fits on it.
- 2). Place the plate, dish or platter into the refrigerator. Ensure that the pork is completely on top of the plate. This will prevent the meat from dripping onto other food or the bottom of the refrigerator.
- 3). Leave the pork tenderloin in the refrigerator until it has thawed. Depending on the thickness of the tenderloin and the exact temperature of the refrigerator, this process can take from four to seven hours per pound. For example, a 3 lb. pork tenderloin might take from 12 to 21 hours to thaw completely.
