    • 1). Open "Internet Explorer" by double-clicking its icon on your desktop. Click the "Tools" drop-down menu in the upper right of "Internet Explorer," then click "Internet Options" in the drop-down menu.

    • 2). Click the "Security" tab at the top of the "Internet Options" pop-up menu.

    • 3). Click the "Internet" icon in the zone section of the security tab, then click the "Custom Level" button at the bottom of the menu.

    • 4). Scroll down to the "ActiveX" section of the security options, then click Enable next to the "Run ActiveX Controls and Plugins," and "Script ActiveX Marked Safe for Scripting" options.

    • 5). Click "Ok" to save the change to the security settings, then "Ok" to to close the "Internet Options" dialog box. ActiveX is now enabled for "Internet Explorer."
