    • 1). Pull down on the distinct, red rope dangling from the garage assembly overhead. This is the emergency release rope. Pulling down on it will set the garage door's release arm into a vertical position and demotorize the door for manual adjustments.

    • 2). Locate and slowly pull down on the garage door's inner handle if the door became stuck while partially open. Do not jerk down hastily on the handle because the door is not motorized and will provide no resistance when you attempt to shut it manually. Pulling down too hard may result in damage to the door.

    • 3). Pull the release rope at a 45-degree angle to reset the release arm in a horizontal position. The door will begin the re-motorization process in conjunction with this, setting it correctly back on its hinges. Wait a few moments for this process to stop.

    • 4). Press the remote door opener button. The garage door will now respond and shut and open itself automatically.
