How to Hang a Guitar on the Wall at an Angle
- 1). Easily hang a guitar at an angle by putting a screw into the wall and hanging the guitar strap on the screw, adjusting the angle of the guitar by sliding the strap along the screw. Be sure to use a long screw, and put it directly into a wall stud. This method shouldn't be used with valuable guitars, as it's possible that over time the pressure on the neck will cause it to warp.
- 2). Mount a guitar more securely by building or buying a device that is custom designed for this purpose. A guitar wall hanger consists of two wall-mounted brackets, one of which cradles the bottom edge of the guitar body, with the other supporting the neck.
- 3). Mount the bracket for the guitar body at the height you want the bottom edge of the guitar. Place the guitar in this bracket, and hold it up at the angle you want it. Mark the wall underneath the neck of the guitar, then mount the neck bracket at that point.
