    • Pick up a Disney game for the Nintendo GameCube if you're looking for kid-friendly video games on a budget. Many Nintendo GameCube games are readily available on the cheap since it's a last-generation console. Best of all, you can even play the games on your Nintendo Wii since it has backwards compatibility. You'll just need a GameCube controller, GameCube memory card and a copy of the Disney game in question.

    Finding Nemo

    • "Finding Nemo" lets you take control of the beloved characters from the film. At its core, "Finding Nemo" is a platforming game except all the action takes place underwater. You'll take on the roles of Marlin and Dory as they search for Marlin's lost son, Nemo. The game's first few levels provide training tips so kids can easily familiarize themselves with the controls. The game's graphics and audio match those of the film perfectly so it feels like you're really watching an interactive version of the film instead of just playing a video game.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

    • Disney's "Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe" follows the adventures of the four children from the book and film of the same name. Throughout the game you'll be able to switch between the children in your party at will to make use of their different skills and abilities. For instance, the youngest child, Lucy, is lightweight and can walk across ice or be thrown to high places. A second player can join in at anytime to take control of another character and aid you on your quest. If your kids liked the film, they'll enjoy that the game features clips from the film as well as voice work from the original actors.

    Tarzan Untamed

    • Unlike the other games on this list, "Tarzan Untamed" doesn't follow the plot of its titular character's film. "Tarzan Untamed" actually takes place immediately following the end of the Tarzan film, and you take control of Tarzan as he fights off a mad scientist trying to kidnap his gorilla family. The game play focuses on the "tree surfing" shown off in one of the film's scenes. Tarzan spends the whole game sliding down tree branches, jumping and throwing spears at enemies along the way--sort of like rainforest longboarding. You'll occasionally have the option to branch off to the left or right so the game doesn't get too linear.
