How to Remove Permanent Marker From Floors
- 1). Saturate the permanent marker stain with the hairspray and wait three minutes for the hairspray to begin penetrating the stain.
- 2). Dab a white towel against the stain, blotting gently. The marker stain should begin rubbing off the floor and onto the towel.
- 3). Apply more hairspray to the stain and keep blotting with the white towel. It may take multiple applications before the stain disappears from the floor.
- 4). Pour rubbing alcohol on the stained area of the flooring, if the hairspray fails to work. Lightly rub the rubbing alcohol around with your hands, making an even coating of the liquid on the stain.
- 5). Blot a fresh white towel against the stain, checking for any signs of the stain rubbing off on the towel. Continue applying more liquid to the stain and dabbing it with the towel, until the stain comes off the floor.
