- 1). Select "My Computer" from the "Start" menu and select the location of your SWF file.
- 2). Right-click the SWF file and select "Properties."
- 3). Select the "General" tab, write down the path in the "Location" section and be sure to write the complete file name of the SWF file (i.e., include the extension ".swf"). Click the "Cancel" button to close the window.
- 4). Check that your Flash ActiveX control is installed by launching Internet Explorer and selecting "Open" under "File" in the top menu bar.
- 5). Type the path for the SWF file identified in Step 3 and click the "Open" button.
- 6). Verify that the movie plays in the browser window or follow the prompts in the top information bar to enable or install the Shockwave ActiveX plug-in.
- 7). Create a new presentation in PowerPoint and click a blank slide.
- 8). Select "Toolbars" under "View" in the top menu bar and click the "Control Toolbox" option.
- 9). Select "More Controls," and then select "Shockwave Flash Object" from the list.

Draw a square on the slide by clicking a point on the slide and holding the mouse button down to draw a box. Release the mouse button. - 11
Right-click the new square and select "Properties." - 12
Click the "Alphabetic" tab and click the settings next to these fields to change: Switch "Embed movie" to "TRUE," switch "Loop" to "FALSE" and switch "Playing" to "TRUE." - 13
Type the path (identified in Step 3) in the field next to "Movie." - 14

Select the square with a single click to expose the corner adjustment points. Click one corner and hold down the mouse button to drag and resize the square, if desired; click the square and hold down the mouse button to move the square to the desired position, if needed. - 16
Release the mouse button and select "View Show" under "Slide Show" in the top menu bar. - 17
Click the image of the movie to begin playing the file.
