Bandon, a city on the southern side of Coos County, Oregon, is only 90 miles from the California state line. This quaint town is home to approximately 3,100 people as of August, 2010. Although the town is small, it offers numerous activities for guests to enjoy, including crabbing, fishing, and surfing. Unlike other small seaside towns, Bandon is also home to four golf courses, the Pacific Dunes, Bandon Dunes, Old MacDonald, and Bandon Trails. - Situated at the end of the spit in Bullards Beach State Park, the Coquille Lighthouse Trail takes you through sand dunes at the beach and along a river path. Guests hiking in the evening will see the light shining from the Coquille River Lighthouse. The 3.5-mile trail also offers numerous options for both fishing--river and sea--and crabbing, at night.
