Some beekeepers do not regard learning beekeeping and understanding the beekeeping hive as very important.
This can be real dangerous and may even put you in jail since bees are insects that have the ability to painfully sting people, which can sometimes result in death.

In reality, beekeeping is not a complicated activity, provided you understand it well.
You need to really focus on developing your bee's hive because this is where they live and store the honey they make.

Langstroth, a type of artificial bee hive is popularly utilized by the majority of beekeepers in the United States and Europe.
It is a rectangular wooden frame that is also portable for easy harvesting of the honey.
You can keep as much as 9 to 10 combs inside a Langstroth since this hive has no top or bottom so the combs can leisurely hang within it.
The combs are usually fashioned from pieces of wax or plastic materials.
As bees create wax to make a honeycomb, they will use those pieces of wax as their primary foundation.
Once this is done, they can then start piling nectar and honey into the comb's cells.
You can simply remove the comb frames if they are already full of honey to collect.
The top-bar hives from Africa are another bee hive alternative.
It has a bar across the top section of the hive which enables bees to paste and hang wax combs on it.
The difference between top-bar hives and Langstroth is that you cannot salvage the combs after using it; thus you need to replace them with new ones.
Though this means extra work and money, it will be so worth it since honey collected from this kind of hive are considered to be one of the best quality of honey produced by bees.
So that's one benefit of knowing the beekeeping hive of those honey making insects.
Others do beekeeping so they can enhance the pollination of their crops and plants.
If one is considering this reason for managing bees, then he/she must choose a hive located near a clean water source.
You can either choose a natural water supply or make it yourself.
The most important thing is that your bees will not be deprived of liquid.
Be aware of probable animal predators that can smash up your bee hives or those people that may steal your honey harvest.
Try to keep your bee hive away from locations with many houses and individuals that may or may not have an allergy to bee stings.
Remember that some beekeeping calls for legality too, so check your local laws and regulations.
Don't hesitate to ask if they require a permit when keeping bees and collecting their honey.
Lastly, secure your hive from the ever changing seasons to guarantee that the bees staying inside it will not die.
