Building muscle is something that people are always trying to do.
They are consistently trying to make themselves look better for the opposite sex, and only a small fraction of them actually succeed.
The main reason why people don't succeed in building muscle is because they do not give it enough time to develop.
People, for the most part, are very impatient and want instant results from one or two days of working out.
Lean muscle doesn't happen overnight, but it can begin to show up in as few as two weeks.
When trying to build lean muscle, one of the things that people tend to do is max out their wright when lifting weights.
This is something that you should try to refrain from doing because this will only increase mass and not lean muscle.
In order to increase lean muscle, the best thing to do would be to find a set weight for that particular muscle group that you are trying to build, and maintain that weight for every workout.
If the weight begins to get easier and easier to lift, then you have built your lean muscle.
Merely increase your reps with this weight and do not increase your weight until you can reach fifty (50) reps with that set weight.
Doing this will ensure that you have lean muscle and it is built in the correct way.
A huge benefit from having lean muscle over mass is that you will look more defined than if you just lift as much as you possibly can every time you go to the gym.
Lifting a set weight every time will sculpt your muscles instead of adding a ton of bulk to them.
This will make you look better, and you will be more pleased with your results than just trying to build mass.
To follow up and maintain your definition, try to add some cardio into the mix so you can keep that unwanted fat off your newly formed muscles, and maintain your desired look.
Try getting on the rowing machine for 1 hour, at the lowest possible resistance setting, and rowing at a rate of 26 strokes per minute.
This will built lean muscle all over your body as well as trim unwanted fat off your body.
Building lean muscle is not difficult, you just need to know how to do it.
Recall that you do not want to keep increasing weight, but instead maintain a set weight throughout you workouts until you can rep that weight 50 times.
Then you may add an additional weight, typically 3-5% increase, to build up more muscle.
It takes time and dedication, and nothing worth having happens overnight.
Keep working at it and you will have developed your lean muscle in a couple weeks, and begin seeing better definition in three to four weeks.
