Do you want to know why people don't seem to exercise and stick with a particular program? If you are reading this article, you could have this problem yourself.
Well, for some of us, exercising is not a deeply ingrained habit like brushing teeth or wearing socks.
This is the major reason why people can't seem to stick to a routine.
Imagine an overweight person who has never exercised in his life, let alone working out consistently for a few weeks.
It is definitely harder for this particular obese person to stick and maintain an exercise program or habit.
He or she is simply not used to it! The same saying applies here, "the rich keep getting richer, the poor keep getting poorer".
Experts have said it takes 21 days for us humans to successfully form a new habit.
But it must be done in 21 days consecutively without any failures or stopping in between.
It is more of a long term thinking, where thinking about shortcuts are no-nos.
When you exercise, think about these 2 good exercise habits.
Make your exercise session the king Just like other activities like sleeping, going out with your friends, exercise should be an important activity too.
Although you might hate it at the first place, you must persevere, especially when you are starting out.
You can say "no" For example, if your friends invite you out during your exercise session, you might get tempted to skip your boring exercise routine.
Well, you should force yourself to say no.
When you are comfortable with rejecting people more than once, this is when your exercising habit will solidify.
But when you do say no, do it in a way so you won't upset the other person.
Remember, you are to stick to the exercise program, no matter how you hate it at first.
After 21 days You must reward yourself after completing your 21-day session of "torture".
But if you have not made it, you should repeat.
It is that hard.
That is the truth.
This is why some people get rich, some people don't.
It is not easy teaching the success mindset when it comes to sticking to an exercise program too.
The hard part is usually during the initial phase.
Once you get over it, you are on your way.
