How to Clean Grout Sealer Off Ceramic Tiles
- 1). Wet a stiff-bristled brush with water and shake out.
- 2). Apply a small amount of cleanser directly to the brush.
- 3). Scrub the affected tiles with the brush.
- 4). Wipe with a clean cloth to check for effectiveness. If the sealant was removed, dampen a cloth with water and wipe the area clean.
- 5). Apply a sealant stripper, which can be purchased at a home supply store, to a sponge and rub onto an inconspicous tile. Check for results after one hour. If no discoloration or other harm was caused to the tile, proceed.
- 6). Apply the stripper to the entire affected area with a sponge. Scrub with a brush and wipe away the remnants of the grout sealer with a clean cloth. Repeat until all the sealer has been removed.
- 7). Rinse the cleaned area with water. Dry with a clean towel.
