    • 1). Turn off the water supply valves located under the sink. With a wrench, disconnect the faucet supply lines at the shut off valves.

    • 2). Locate the P-trap, at the lowest point in the drain line, and place a medium-sized bowl under it. Loosen the large nuts on both ends and work the P-trap loose from the drain lines. Drain the water into the bowl and set the bowl aside.

    • 3). The sink top or the top surface of the vanity will be joined to the wall with a thick line of caulk. With the utility knife, cut through the caulk. This releases the top from the wall. Cut away the rest of the caulk around the sink top, lift the top from the cabinet and set it aside.

    • 4). If the cabinet is fastened to the wall with screws, back them out using the drill and the correct bit. If nails were used, insert a flat pry bar between the cabinet and the wall at the location of a nail and carefully pry the cabinet away from the wall.

    • 5). Move the cabinet from the work area. Locate the drain line protruding from the wall. Back the nut out holding the drain line in place and free the pipe from the wall. Clean any remaining caulk from the wall with a putty knife.
