Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

This policy explains what personal information ThatBiz LLC ("ThatBiz", "we") collects when you visit this website, book a call, or send us a project brief — what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it. We work with clients in the United States, and we keep what we collect deliberately small.

What we collect

  • What you send us directly. When you fill in our project brief or email us: your name, business name, email address, the ad copy and audience details you want the page built around, what you want visitors to do, and the names of any files you tell us about.
  • When you book a call. Your name, email address, and the time you chose. Bookings run through Cal.com.
  • Basic technical information. This site runs on Shopify, which records standard server and traffic information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring site. We use it only to understand whether the site is working.

We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site, and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for advertising purposes.

We do not want payment card numbers by email or through any form on this site. Invoices are paid through a payment processor that handles card details directly; we never see or store them.

Who handles it for us

A short list of service providers processes your information on our behalf, under their own privacy terms:

  • Shopify — hosts this website and delivers the project brief form.
  • Google (Gmail) — receives and stores our email, including brief submissions.
  • Cal.com — schedules calls.

That is the whole chain. If we add a service that handles your information, we will update this page.

Why we use it

To reply to you, quote and run your project, send invoices, keep records of work we have done, and meet our legal and tax obligations. We will email you about your own project. Sending us a project brief does not add you to a marketing list.

How long we keep it

Project correspondence and records are kept while we are working together, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and legal purposes — generally seven years. Enquiries that never become projects are deleted on request, and otherwise within two years.

Your choices

Email Marc@thatbiz.com and we will:

  • tell you what we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete whatever we are not legally required to keep;
  • send you a copy of what you gave us.

We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights specifically — to know, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. As noted above, we do not sell or share it.

Security

We keep access to your information limited to the people who need it and rely on the security of the providers listed above. No system is perfect, so please do not email us anything genuinely sensitive — passwords, card numbers, government ID. If a project needs us inside your website, use your platform's own collaborator or staff invite rather than sending us a password.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
