Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

This policy applies to landing page projects with ThatBiz LLC ("ThatBiz") and forms part of our Terms of Service. All amounts are in US dollars.

Cancelling before work starts

Your deposit is fully refundable for 48 hours after you pay it, as long as we have not started work. Email Marc@thatbiz.com within that window and we will refund it in full to the original payment method.

Cancelling after work starts

Once we have begun — usually within a day of the deposit clearing — the deposit is non-refundable. It covers the schedule slot we held for you and the work already done. You can still cancel at any time: you simply will not be invoiced for the remaining balance, and the unfinished work stays ours.

If you are not happy with the preview

Tell us. Your project includes two rounds of revisions, and most concerns turn out to be design or copy decisions we can change. A preview you dislike is not by itself grounds for a refund of the deposit — but we would far rather fix the page than part on bad terms.

Projects that go quiet

If we do not hear from you for 10 days during an active project, we will close it and release your schedule slot. At that point the deposit is forfeit and the work is not delivered. You are welcome to start again later; restarting requires a new deposit and a new place in the schedule.

We will email you before closing a project, so one missed message does not cost you the work.

Completed projects

Final payment is due before handover. Once a project has been delivered and paid in full it is not refundable — custom work cannot be returned, and we cannot un-build a page you already have.

If we cancel

If we cannot complete your project for a reason on our side, we refund your deposit in full, and the balance too if you have already paid it. If we stop work because the project turns out to involve content we do not take on (see section 7 of our Terms of Service), fees already paid are not refunded.

How refunds are issued

Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
