- 1). Install the software included with the bluetooth device. Do not insert the bluetooth device into the USB port yet. Insert the software CD into the CD drive of the computer. The software should begin automatically. Navigate through the installation options, choose where you want to install the software and allow the software to install.
- 2). Insert the bluetooth device into a USB port of the computer. Because the software was already installed, the computer should recognize the device immediately when it is plugged in.
- 3). Begin the process of initializing the bluetooth connection by filling in your computer name and choosing your computer type within the options. Click "next" when finished.
- 4). Configure the bluetooth device by following the prompts and click "next" when finished. Click "finish."
- 5). Confirm the installation and configuration was successful by testing the bluetooth connection. Complete a test transfer between your computer and another bluetooth-configured device.
