Since people are young, they are coached to believe that fatty foods are bad and should be avoided when possible.
In reality, however, there are many different kinds of fats in foods, and they aren't all bad for you.
In most processed pre-packaged foods that you'll find in grocery stores, there are high levels of saturated fats and trans fats, both of which are very unhealthy.

Still though, those unhealthy fats should not tarnish the image of other fats, like Omega-3 fats, which can be healthy.
Research has shown that these healthy fats can actually fight off cancer and cardiovascular disease, and there is a close link between Omega-3 and Alaska Salmon.

"Superfood" is a term that has been developed in recent years because researchers have been able to figure out that specific foods are packed with better nutrients and antioxidants, and these foods are considered super because they can greatly increase people's health or reduce their risks to common health problems.
Omega-3 fats are one of these wonderful foods that have been found to help protect people's health, and fortunately, people can consume these healthy fats by eating seafood.
Yet, all seafood is not the same quality, and the way different fish are raised affects how healthy they are.
In many places, fish are farmed unnaturally in small tanks.
As you might expect, those fish are more prone to carry diseases and they have lower levels of Omega-3 fats too.
That's why if you're going to try to eat seafood to increase your Omega-3 intake, you should try to eat wild fish caught fish whenever possible.
There is a close link between Omega-3 and Alaska Salmon because those fish are caught in the wild, so they are much healthier for human consumption all around.
