  Finding the perfect gift for a 19-year-old woman can be difficult, to say the least. Women of this age can range from very immature to extremely responsible, making gift-giving a difficult experience unless you know your recipient well. Fortunately there are a number of ways to approach buying a gift, depending on her maturity and your budget.
  
  

Inexpensive

• Many 19-year-old ladies are preparing to leave home for college, making it the ideal time for friends and family to contribute living supplies. Stores like Target sell bright plastic cups and plates, as well as other useful objects like cooking and eating utensils, bedding and curtains. If she doesn't need these things, consider giving movies according to her taste. You could make a "horror movie kit" with two or three old horror movies, some popcorn and chocolate. Gift cards for music or clothes also are popular and recommended if you are not certain of her taste.
  
  

Mid-Range

• If you want to spend bit more money, you'll have many more gift options. For less than $50, you could give an artistic girl a canvas pad, some paints and an artist's print or two to hang on her walls for inspiration. Small kitchen appliances in bright colors, crazy patterned cushions or a radio will cost less than $100. You also could take her shopping for jewelry or new clothes for school or work.
  
  

Expensive

• If you have a more money to burn, try something a bit more expensive. A used car to get her around town, a brand new cell phone or a new computer may be exactly what she needs. A gamer might enjoy a new video gaming system, and some games in her favorite genre are sure to provide hours of entertainment. Others might enjoy a trip to see a favorite place or explore a new culture.
