How to Clean Rust Stains From a Bath Tub

    • 1). Mix 1 part each of scouring powder and cream of tartar with 2 parts hydrogen peroxide in a bowl to form a rust-removing paste.

    • 2). Dampen a clean cloth with water, then dip it in the peroxide solution. Spread the paste on the rust stains on your bathtub surface. Allow the paste to sit on the rust stains for 30 to 60 minutes, depending upon the severity of the rust stains.

    • 3). Wet a stain erasing sponge with plain water and scrub the paste into the rust stains on your bathtub's surface. Pay extra attention to heavy rust stains.

      Rinse your bathtub with water to remove the peroxide paste and rust stains. Dry the surface of your bathtub with a clean towel.
