How to Create an Alias of a Volume
- 1). Click the icon of a blue face on the Dock of your Mac to switch to the Finder.
- 2). Click the volume that you want to make an alias of, to select it.
- 3). Click "File" from the Finder menu, and then click "Make Alias." An alias of the volume appears on the desktop. You can drag the alias into the Dock and then click the icon of the alias to browse the contents of the volume, or move the alias into a folder, from which you double-click the alias whenever you want to open the volume it points to.
