How to Clean a Pan of Burnt Milk
- 1). Fill a clean sink with hot water. Add several drops of liquid dish soap, and mix the soap and water together.
- 2). Submerge the burnt pan into the soapy water. Let it soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Scrub the loosened burnt milk with a nylon scrubber until the pan is clean.
- 3). Rinse the pan with cool water, and dry with a towel.
- 1). Dampen the burnt area of the pan with warm water. Sprinkle table salt over the area until it is completely covered.
- 2). Let the salt sit on the burnt area for 10 minutes. Scrub the pan clean with a nylon scrubber. Add more salt, and wait another 10 minutes if burnt milk remains.
- 3). Wash the pan with warm, soapy water. Rinse with cool water, and dry with a towel.
- 1). Pour enough lukewarm water into the pan so the water covers the burnt area. Add three drops of liquid fabric softener to the water. Mix with a spoon.
- 2). Let the mixture sit in the pan for 1 hour. Pour the mixture down the drain, and rinse the pan with warm water.
- 3). Wash the pan as you normally would with warm, soapy water. Rinse with cool water, and towel dry.
- 1). Fill the bottom of the pan with hot water. Make sure the water covers the burnt area of the pan.
- 2). Add 1/2 cup baking soda to the hot water, and stir to mix. Let the baking soda sit for 30 to 45 minutes.
- 3). Scrub the inside of the pan with a nylon scrubber. Discard the baking-soda mixture, and wash the pan with warm, soapy water.
- 4). Rinse with water, and dry with a towel.
- 1). Pour 1/2 cup white vinegar and 1/2 cup hot water in the bottom of the burnt pan. Place the pan on the stove. Set the stove to medium heat, and bring the contents to a simmer.
- 2). Turn the heat off and let the mixture sit in the pan for 1 hour. Discard the vinegar mixture down the drain, and wash with soapy water.
- 3). Rinse the inside and outside of the pan with cool water. Wipe dry with a towel.
