Walk Your Puppy Regularly

  The easiest way to keep your puppy happy is by regularly taking it on walks. The game only allows you to walk your dog once every half hour (real time), but take advantage of the opportunity as soon as your puppy is well rested. The more you walk your dog, the longer you'll be able to extend your route as it becomes more confident. Gifts are also hidden along routes, which means that you'll have more of an opportunity to seek them out if you regularly go out for a walk. Other non-playable trainers will be walking their dogs as well, so don't be shy; let your puppy play and make new friends. The interaction will make your dog happy and satisfied by the time you get back to your house for a little rest.
  
  

Enter All Competitions

  Once you've taught your puppy a few new tricks, you will be ready to enter your first competition. In Nintendogs, you can enter dog in disc throwing, agility competition, and obedience competitions. You may need further training at the park or gym for the disc and agility competitions, but this shouldn't stop you from entering. At these competitions, you can win money for new accessories, food, and toys for your puppy. If you want to keep your pet happy, winning is the easiest way to do it. The game allows players to enter their dogs in each of these competitions three times a day. To make the most of your chances, enter the maximum amount. Your puppy will also be gaining experience that it will bring with it to the next competition it enters. Keep your dog well fed and rested in between trips, and you'll be a successful owner.
  
  

Stay Squeeky Clean

  A happy puppy is also a clean puppy, so keep this in mind every time you interact with your pet. Walks, competitions, and visits to the park will all eventually wear on your dog's coat. Visit the pet supply store, and buy a brush and shampoo for your puppy. Depending on the breed, you will need to buy a specific type of shampoo (long or short hair) and brush (wire or rubber). Under your puppy's statistics, it will tell you what type of fur it has. Give your puppy a relaxing bath after every walk, and follow it up with a brushing to give that coat a nice shine. Not only will this keep your pet in a delightful mood, but you'll have the most pristine puppy in town.
