Being in the wholesale business is not without risk.
One thing that people must do before they venture in the business is to know if their partners are reliable and can deliver what is needed.
Sometimes there are people that fooled or scammed into shady business deals.
In this day and age, there are a lot of people who pose as legitimate dealers, wholesalers, and even drop ship partners and their goal is to fool the investors to get their money.
One can never be too careful in this type of business which is why you must investigate the business people you come in contact with.
Setting up a business is not as easy as renting an office floor and filling it with staff.
One has to solidify and get partners that are real and can pull their weight.
Whenever people have to invest large amounts of cash they have to make sure that they are engaging in a legitimate venture.
You have to check out if they really who they say they are.
You should go for trusted and established companies that have been operating for several years and preferably those that have a name for themselves.
Hiring or partnering with people who are just new in the business is suicide.
You need experience and expertise on your side, not courage and irrational decisions.
When sourcing suppliers over the internet, you have to really dig deep beneath the business listing and get to know what the company is and what they can do for you.
Can they provide your needs? To see if the people you have searched for can actually supply or drop ship your goods, why not test them a bit first? One tactic is to pretend to place several orders from different people and see how they react.
If they are legit they would be able to fulfill your order or request.
If not, they would try to offer excuses and not be able to deliver the goods.
Reliable suppliers and drop ship suppliers can readily comply with last minute orders and changes.
Try to switch orders around and see how they adjust.
Being a supplier they should have no trouble replacing the order.
If not, then they could be middlemen and can't get the orders switched right away.
These are just some ways you can find bogus and untrustworthy suppliers online.
