Open the Control Panel by clicking “Start” and selecting “Control Panel.”

Select “Power Options” and click “Change Plan Settings.” This displays six drop-down menus that change the display while plugged in and while using the battery.

Select “Never” from each of the Put the Computer to Sleep drop-down menus. Click “Save Changes.” This stops the Power and the Battery indicator lights from blinking because the laptop never goes into Sleep Mode.
