How to Replace a Lost Dog License in San Diego
- 1). Go to the Department of Animal Services section of the county of San Diego's website (see References). Here you can find information on all of the department's services.
- 2). Hold your mouse pointer over the "Rabies Vaccination, Licensing and Microchips" option to see a pop-up window offering several options. Choose "Online Licensing."
- 3). Click the link at the bottom that says, "Click here to print a mail-in application." This opens a screen for you to view and then print the form.
- 4). Fill out the form by hand completely. Circle the "Replace lost tag" option to avoid being charged for the full yearly fee.
- 5). Mail the form with a check for the replacement fee and a copy of your dog's most recent rabies vaccination certificate to the address on the form.
