Recommended Exercises to Get in Shape
Getting in shape has different implications for men and women.
Usually women are only concerned about getting in shape to loose fat from the strategic areas of the body and maintain a body which meets the BMI requirements for healthy or normal weight.
But men are usually more concerned about getting muscles and gaining mass for looking good.
But to achieve both these levels there are certain recommended exercises that need to be performed.
These exercises will help you to get in shape while staying healthy.
It is essential to remember that getting in shape should not be done at the cost of fitness and hence a good exercise routine needs to be maintained along with a healthy diet.
This diet is essential along with plenty of water for the body.
The diet will help you to stay in shape and yet provide the body with adequate nutrients.
Hence starvation is out and healthy meals at frequent intervals need to be provided to the body.
At least 6 meals should be consumed every day at a span of three hours so that the metabolism rate of the body is constantly working.
This helps in losing fat along with regular exercising.
These 6 meals should also include healthy fats and carbohydrates which are essential for the body to function properly.
Eating less and starving will eventually lead to fatigue and weakness in the body and ultimately you will start looking ghastly instead of looking fit and not fat.
To begin these exercises the first thing to remember is that you need to be regular and consistent with these exercises.
You should workout at least 5 days a week but should not over exert yourself.
The body needs to be provided enough rest in between these exercising periods so that it remains motivated for the next day instead of being over exerted and tired.
There are many different kinds of exercises available today and those which suit your body should be done.
The first and the most important part of getting in shape are to perform some sort of aerobic exercises.
These include jogging, walking, swimming, dancing and other forms of cardio exercises.
These need to be done for at least half an hour to 40 minutes so that the body can burn overall fat.
Spot reduction is not possible and hence these aerobic exercises help the body to loose weight and fat.
These exercises also elevate the heart rate which increases the metabolic rate of the body.
After this certain floor exercises and weight training exercises need to be performed.
These include exercises like stomach crunches, leg lifting, side leg lifts and other forms of exercises.
These exercises help in toning the muscles of different parts of the body and help them to firm up and loose weight.
They also provide attractive shapes to these parts of the body.
But it should be remembered that if you are working on the legs today then the focus should be shifted to the stomach and arms the next day.
No part of the body should be exerted.
