How to Clean a Papasan
- 1). Mix the shampoo according the manufacturer's recommendations. Using a sponge, agitate the mixture to create suds.
- 2). Wring out the sponge as tightly as possible. Scoop out a small amount of suds with the sponge. Work the suds into the cushion using small, circular strokes. As needed, scoop up more suds, but use caution to not over-wet the cushion.
- 3). Blot with a clean terry cloth towel. Mild agitation with the towel is fine, however avoid rubbing as this may damage the papasan's material.
- 4). Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the entire papasan cushion has been cleaned.
- 5). Lean the papasan against a clean wall to dry. Make sure there is plenty of ventilation to facilitate drying. Place a plastic trash bag on the floor so the papasan cushion does not become dirty.
- 1). Mix the wood cleaner as per the manufacturer's specifications.
- 2). Dip a terry cloth towel into the solution and wring it out.
- 3). Test an inconspicuous area of the wood frame to make sure the solution will not damage the frame (for example, is the stain removed?).
- 4). Wipe down the frame, refreshing the wet towel as needed. Buff dry with a clean, dry terry cloth.
