Miscellaneous Thoughts About Wedding and Reception Venues

The good thing about having your wedding in middle Tennessee is that there is a vast array of locations where you can get married.
Just in the past few years, the number of "wedding businesses" set up for couples to get married has grown quite a bit.
This offers a wider selection of types of venues as well as sites that suit all kinds of tastes, interests and budgets.
However, you can't just choose based on what you like best or even the money angle.
Here are some of things you need to take into account as you narrow down your search.
Your guests have to have a place to sit, right? Unless you having a very short, simple wedding where everyone could remain standing for the entire ceremony.
But that is rare.
In most cases, you want people to have chairs to sit in.
Not only is there is the ceremony time, but the minutes before the wedding and as the recessional continues, you want them to be comfortable.
So the goal here is to ascertain if a wedding location you are looking at is able to accommodate the number of wedding attendees you expect.
If you get married at the Ryman Auditorium, you will have no problem with seating! Another guest related topic is parking.
Whatever you can do to make this easier and stress free for the people coming to your wedding will be appreciated.
Often weddings will have attendants on hand to park cars for guests as they arrive.
This does add a bit of panache to the occasion and relieves the attendees any concern about where to park.
But you should keep in mind that some people don't like to use valet services, so in your invitation you could indicate other parking choices they would have.
But exactly where will you have your wedding ceremony? A church auditorium may be the location that most people have married over time.
But the churches don't have a monopoly on that anymore.
Maybe you would like something different from church bells for your wedding.
While you can go online and find much information quickly about various wedding locations in Nashville, a wedding planner in Nashville can quickly give you the inside scoop on many of the sites.
They can help quickly match you and your wedding wishes with the best wedding site.
Visit the Tennessee Weddings and Events Specialists Association website to find a list of good Nashville wedding planners.
You will also find there a sizeable list of wedding reception sites.
This one is for the grooms.
Their two most important questions are, how short is the ceremony and what will be eating at the reception.
I know, we guys are shallow.
But if the truth be known, everybody, men and women at the wedding are concerned about the food quality.
And, they all will evaluate the food as part of the whole wedding experience.
Not to sound overly dramatic, but you will be judged by the food you provide for your guests.
So you must do your due diligence in finding the wedding venue or wedding caterer than provides excellent food service.
An alternative is to have your reception at a restaurant.
We would suggest a place like Maggiano's if you like Italian food.
You can go out on a date with your finance and try the food out and decide if that's where you want to have your reception.
If not, it'll be a lot of fun trying more Nashville restaurants until you find the one you like.
