Quite often, people who come to a decision that they want to lose their weight start out by achieving great progress towards accomplishing their weight loss goals.

Whatever method they are utilising, they're shedding weight rapidly.

But then something happens - they have an awful day at the office, or they have an argument with their significant other, or perhaps they simply get really bored, and they resume their old practices.

They devour gargantuan sums of food until their tummy is full, and then some.
They gluttonously chomp on fatty unhealthy foodstuff that they don't actually enjoy.
They eat on so much food that they really cannot move any longer.
This is the real world. Such situation do occur.

But what REALLY matters, is what takes place NEXT.
Because we're all human beings.
We are never going to be perfect.
We're never going to do everything right.
We are never going to live in a world without setbacks.

The WRONG thing to do when we stuff ourselves full to bursting and then say that "Now that I've done this, it shows that everything that's gone before is worthless, all the progress I have made doesn't mean anything and so there's no point even in trying."

The RIGHT thing to do when we stuff overeat till the point of bursting and then some is to say "Now that I've done this, it shows I'm a human being. But I made some good progress before this happened, and I can make some good progress after this has happened. I can nevertheless achieve my weight loss goals, and that's something worth making an effort for."

The REALITY is that it is just up to you to choose the RIGHT PATH.

You can choose to be the person who takes setbacks in their stride.

You can choose to be the person that acknowledges that they are human, and then moves on.

You can always choose to be that individual who decides that an achievable target is still achievable, even though development isn't always perfect and given to us on a golden platter.

So if you do suffer an impediment, do not give up.
Just say to yourself - this just shows I'm a person.
However, the targets which I have set for myself to achieve are still worth achieving.
And I can and I'll achieve them.
