    • 1). Wear rubber gloves.

    • 2). Mix a gallon of warm water with ¾ lb. oxalic acid granules. Oxalic acid can be purchased from most hardware and home improvement stores. Oxalic acid is a toxic chemical that should be handled with care.

    • 3). Apply the mixture to a sponge and rub over the green stain. Allow the solution to sit on the stain for 5 minutes.

    • 4). Scrub the vinyl siding with a sponge or cleaning cloth to remove the stain.

    • 5). Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the green stain is completely removed.

    • 6). Wash down the siding with liquid dishwashing soap and warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
