    Jungle Hunt

    • Have a safari-themed scavenger hunt. Hide plush and plastic jungle animals around the room. Divide the group into two or three teams and provide each team with a net. Send the teams off to find the animals. When the players find an animal, they should "capture" it in their net. After an allotted period of time, blow a whistle and have players assemble in a designated meeting area. Count the total number of animals each group found; the team with the most animals wins the game.

    Pass the Snake

    • Play a game of pass the snake. Stuff a sock with cotton, tie the end shut and paste some googly eyes onto it. Have the group sit in a circle and hand the snake to one of the players. When you start playing music, the player passes the snake to his right and all other players should continue passing the snake to their right. Randomly stop the music and the person holding the snake is out of the game. Continue playing in this manner until there is one person remaining.

    Dodge the Crocodile

    • In this activity, one person acts as a crocodile and tries to "bite" the crowd. Ask someone to volunteer to be the crocodile. This person stands in the middle of an unobstructed room, while the group stands at one side of the room. The crocodile counts down to 10, at which time the players try to run from one side of the room to the other without the crocodile "biting" them (the crocodile simply touches them). If a player is "bitten," she must sit out. Continue the game in this manner until there is one person left standing and this person becomes the crocodile for the next round of the game.

    Peanut-Pushing Race

    • Players act like elephants and race to push a peanut to the finish line in this activity. Place two pieces of duct tape on the ground to determine the starting and ending points of the race. Divide the group up into teams of four to five players. Provide the first player on the team with a peanut; the player must get on his hands and knees and push the peanut with his nose from the starting point to the ending point. When a player reaches the ending point, the next player on his team goes, pushing a peanut with his nose from the starting point to the finish point. The game continues in this manner until one team has all players cross the finish line.
